Hip Hop Heaven!

Yes! I died and went there last night! Hip Hop Honors 2009 was just what I needed, with all the ((blah)) going on in music nowadays, it felt so good to hear something real, something true! I loved every minute of it! From Ashanti and JaRule, my girl Mary J, and even Tracey Morgan's crazy ass! So in case you missed it, I'm posting my favorite part of the show; the Def Jam medley...which was A-MAZING! Kid Rock, The Roots, Foxy Brown, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Fabolous, Chrisette Michele, Ghostface Killah, Wale, -flatline- "Hip Hop you the love of my life!"

YOU MISS ME?!?

I know....I know...I've been a lil M.I.A. but I have been working my ASS off! Just trying to keep it hot for all of you; I have to rehearse for all my shows, finish recording, more writing to do for others, be here be there...I was at the Grand Hustle studio listening session for 8ball & MJG, then went live on Ustream with them...I've even starting taking piano lesson!

Most importantly, I've been working on my mixtape, "Ms. Nobody"....dropping like the atomic; reshape the music game for sure!!

'Nothin' but Love'

Afeni Shakur, mother of Tupac Shakur, is donating his writings include rough drafts of lyrics, poems to a copy of his contract for research to the Robert W. Woodruff Library at Atlanta University Center. Over 150 items will be placed in the archives, where The Martin Luther King Jr. Collection is as well, and students can view them starting Fall 2010. Mama Shakur says “We need to read history from the source, it gives people the opportunity to judge him objectively. What we want to do is educate.” Thank you Mama Shakur for sharing your son with us, once again.
